The Notebook That Became a Universe — the story behind The Universal Book

In 2007, Nikki Shiva wrote a story by hand in a notebook. She published it in 2012 as The Universal Book — then the notebook pages came loose from their binding and scattered. In October 2026, every surviving page was photographed, transcribed, and reassembled: thirty-three unique pages, water-stained and torn, but whole in story.

The book opens with a council of beings watching a corrupted world tear itself apart, debating whether a race that forgot them deserves saving. A shapeshifter named Humility is sent down. And in the book’s present day, an ant at the door asks the only question that matters: “Do you remember yet?”

Every main character in the story is an aspect of one soul — the Blue Queen, the Grim Reaper, the winged goddess Nike — cycling through forms the way water cycles through rivers. If that sounds familiar, it may be because the same universe now lives at the Game Jumper Fairy Shop: the art, the music videos, and the book the worlds came from.

The Universal Book — Book One is available now as an instant-download ebook (PDF + EPUB), with the original cover art from the Game Jumper universe.
